This is a 24 Continuing Education Units Bundle for CNA. There are several topics under this bundle – Elderly Nutrition (4 CEUs), Diabetes and Hypoglycemia (4 CEUs), Pressure Ulcer Care (4 CEUs), Dealing with Stress and End of Life Care (4 CEUs), Physiology and Measuring Vital Signs (4 CEUs) and Communication Concepts 4 (CEUs). You will get your certification as soon as you finish the short learning assessment.
HOW TO RENEW YOUR CNA LICENSE IN CALIFORNIA
BREAKDOWN OF HOURS:
- The board will allow you to take 24 hours online and you need to be in an actual “Live” or “Face to Face” classroom setting for the rest of the 24 Hours.
- A Minimum of twelve (12) of the forty eight (48) Hours shall be completed in each year of the two (2) year certification period.
- A Maximum of twenty four (24) Hours maybe obtained only throught CDPH-approved online computer training program.
- A CNA may take ALL needed CEUs in classroom/face-to-face setting BUT not all should be taken in the same renewal year**
- **NOT calendar year because it depends on birthdate
For the 24 Live Classroom hours:
*** Half (12 hours) of the 24 need to be completed in first year and other half in the second year i.e.: If your expiration year is 2016 — you need to have attended an inservice or ceu classroom activity 12 hours in 2014 and another 12 hours in 2015.
